The Keep

War!
A keep sits nestled inside a walled castle.
Outside these walls war rages.
Fires light the night and arrows fill the sky.
But the walls hold.
Soldier after Soldier crash against the walls.
Bodies litter the the fields outside.
Inside the walls the keep sits untouched.
Its newly constructed walls hold.
Days pass and the keep stands tall.
Armies fall to the wall.
Its layers are deep and its engineers clever.
After many battles the wall has been reinforced and improved.
But as the months press on and the armies rise and fall.
Something makes its way inside the keep.
Or rather Someone.
